MENTORING THROUGH V.I.P.I.
The Victorian Independent Producers Initiative (VIPI) was designed to support independent producers, and through them, independent artists and companies in the performing arts, based in Victoria (Australia).
During 2020 - 2021, Freya will mentor Efren Pamilacan as part of VIPI's Producers Mentorship Program. This program provides funded mentorships for emerging producers working in Victoria to assist them to develop their practice.
Efren is a dance maker and emerging independent producer of Filipino heritage. Through this program, Efren will also be mentored by producer, Marcia Ferguson. This will support him to develop relationships with independent artists and collectives including Lay the Mystic, Saluhan (a recently formed Filipino contemporary arts collective) and vogue dance house, House of Dévine.
