Chamber Made was established in 1988 by founding artistic director Douglas Horton and founding General Manager Stephen Armstrong.
The company has been steered by two Artistic Directors, Douglas Horton (1988 – 2009) and David Young (2009 – 2014) and, since 2014, by Creative Director, Tim Stitz and four Artistic Associates.
Chamber Made has built a reputation for creating era and artform-defining works which have attracted critical and audience acclaim and consternation. David Young spearheaded the Living Room Opera series, establishing a new approach to art making that was site responsive, patron driven, and resulted in works that were nimble and intimate in nature.
Chamber Made is led by Artistic Director and CEO, Tamara Saulwick.
